SCC-01 Garden Stakes

July 11 10:00 – 12:00

Stacey Lucas   Tuition: $10.00 / Materials: Included

Create a handcrafted garden sign for the summer season. Learn how to paint funky flowers on an exterior sign, which will include a stake to add some magic to your garden. Storytelling and sculpture (to embellish our project) will complete this craft session of summer fun!

SCC-02 Felted Picture Pillow

July 12   9:30 – 10:00

Get your hands wet and soapy to create a felt picture square which will be sewn (by instructor) into a cuddly pillow.

SCC-03 Collage and Drawing

July 14 Friday 9:00 – 10:00

Kathryn Field    Tuition: $10.00 / Materials: Included

Arranging plastic toy animals we will create a still life, talk about the story we see and then learn some basic skills of drawing line and shape to create form. Adding pre-cut colored papers to the pencil drawing we will make our stories come to life. Everyone will take home a beautiful collage drawing from our shared time together.

SCC-04 Clay Animals, Sculpture

July 14 Friday 10:30 – 11:30

Kathryn Field    Tuition: $10.00 / Materials: Included

Working from your imagination, a photograph of a favorite pet, or a plastic toy animal; create your favorite creature. Students will learn to shape and mold the clay using coils and slabs. Everyone will go home with a story to share and a special small sculpture to treasure.

Create a wild and crazy troll from colorful wools.

SCC-06 Needle-felt Smurfs

Learn needle-felting as you make your own bright blue Smurf.
