Acrylic Still Life Painting
Instructor:  Ann Xavier
Tuesday, July 12:  9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Tuition:  $70 – Materials Fee: $35 
Experience/Prerequisites:   None.  All levels welcome.
Age Range:  13 to Adult


Learn the basic techniques and secrets of acrylic painting in this fun, new class at the gallery.  The instructor will have objects you can paint such as fruit, books, candlesticks, etc.   Materials will include a canvas, brushes, a pallet and all the paint you will need to take home a beautiful still life painting. 

MATERIALS 
Provided by instructor: Canvases, brushes and paint. 
Students should bring: An apron or smock to protect clothing.  

INSTRUCTOR BIO 
Ann Xavier is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design with thirty years of teaching experience. She was a juried member of the Boca Raton Museum of Art Artists Guild and exhibited extensively over the course of her career.

Watercolor Inspiration From a Summer Garden

Age Range:  Children (with adult family member) to Adult


Learn to draw and paint using watercolors inspired by forms directly drawn in the flower and vegetable gardens that surround the studio.  This daylong class is taught in the studio of painter Kathryn Field at Field Fine Art.  The class will start with a morning in the studio with drawing demonstrations, a discussion of composition and basic watercolor techniques.  In the afternoon we will move outside, and students will focus on drawing flowers or vegetables in the garden.  There is a covered deck facing the garden where students can work in case of rain.  Please bring a bag lunch to enjoy on the porch. 

MATERIALS

Kathryn Field is a practicing painter and sculptor and established Field Fine Art in 2015.  She has taught for over 30 years at University, Colleges, and Holderness School. Painting New England Architecture (doors and windows) in Watercolor - Online Class
Instructor:  Robert O'Brien
Thursday & Friday, July 28-29, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM 
Instructor will provide Zoom link prior to class date.

Experience/Prerequisites:   All levels welcome but some watercolor experience suggested

Learn to paint the unique beauty of the historic New England architecture in this fun and creative watercolor workshop. Students will learn elements of composition and perspective as it relates to the subject, as well as painting texture and natural materials, and how to render the unique beauty of light and shadow in a realistic manner. The class will begin with a demonstration by the instructor followed by class painting. A critique and class discussion will be held at the end of the session. This workshop is open to all levels of painting ability.

INSTRUCTOR BIO
Robert O'Brien has been painting in the watercolor medium for over 45 years. He is a signature member of the American, National, New England, among others, Watercolor Societies.  He is a full time artist and instructor with over 35 years of teaching experience. He teaches workshops throughout the Northeast, all over the U.S. and abroad.

Plein Air Watercolor Exploration

Plein Air is drawing and painting landscapes directly from observations.  This class will cover the basics of drawing form, shapes and composition as well as color mixing with watercolor.  The class is taught at the home/studio of artist Kathryn Field.  The class will start with a morning in the studio with drawing demonstrations and basic watercolor techniques.  In the afternoon we will move outside, and students will be able to find an intimate or distant landscape to paint in watercolor.  There is a covered deck facing the mountains where students can work in case of rain.  Please bring a bag lunch to enjoy on the porch.
