Fused Glass Dishes
Instructor: Lynn Haust
Thursday, July 14: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Age Range: 10+ (with adult) to Adult
In this class the student will make 2 fused glass dishes, including bowls, plates, and various shaped dishes. Using transparent and opaque glass, the student will explore design elements to create a beautiful dish in sparkling colors. The shapes will be precut and students will use their imagination to form the design on top. The glass will then be fired twice, full fused and then slumped at a lower temperature into the mold of your choice. The firing will be off site and then returned to the Sandwich Gallery for pickup or shipped to student (at your cost). Safety and glass cutting skills will be covered. We will be using System 96 glass.
Provided by instructor. Hazardous glass cutting will be required.
